Beef - You Are What Your Meat Eats


Most of the cattle in this country are raised on huge factory farms called CAFO's (concentrated animal feedlot operations). The cattle are jammed together like sardines. They are fed genetically-modified corn, synthetic bovine growth hormones, and antibiotics.

A side note here-80% of the antibiotics in this country go to livestock. Why? Because the conditions they're raised in are so dirty that they need to be on a constant dose of antibiotics so they don't get sick. Now some cattle do succumb to disease and die. And the U.S.D.A. in its wisdom allows the parts of the diseased dead cows to be ground up and fed to the live ones.

Think about it this way there's nothing magic that happens between the cow’s mouth and your mouth- if the cow ate you're eating it. So when it comes to beef, pork, and poultry-eat 100% pastured-raised, it's not only healthier is taste better.
